New to the game!

Postby carlesmiquel on Thu Jul 06, 2006 1:37 am

So, here I go. I live in Guadalajara, a rather large city in Mexico. I have no idea (after reading all I could from this site) what the story of the film will be like. But I dont mind. I love music, I'm a filmmaker, too... I love photography, and teach cinematography at Universidad Panamericana. So... here I am. My place is surrounded by many attractive locations: mountains, small exotic colonial towns, winding mountain roads, the super flashy beaches and city of Puerto Vallarta... so, if any of this places work just tell me what, how, when and why should I do something for this project. To me... sounds amazing!

Cheers!

WELCOME!

Welcome to the forum...it's a little quiet right now, the owners and project leads on this live in florida and are still recovering from the hurricaines. They are re-building their studio as the old one got demolished in the last hurricaine to go through. Keep checking in, When Liza gets back here, there's no stopping her ;)

I check the board daily (I'm the moderator, so it's my job), so I'll be able to answer any questions you have. Somewhere around the forum is an audio clip of Liza talking through the story...there's a bunch of footage and photos laying around here too.

I personally peruse 3 filmmaking boards out here for different purposes.

1. I come here for pure inspiration.
2. http://www.dvinfo.net/ for more technical questions
3. http://www.indietalk.com/ for more practical questions

Look around and get a feel for the project. Liza is the producer/director of the project, so her postings are the most informative about it. Many of the members here are also members at indietalk, so if you visit there, you'll see lots of cross postings with this board.
Low/No budget cinema that looks like a million Bucks!
